SIR – David Rhodes (Letters, August 16) shows just how petty and out of touch he can be.
Since not all regions of the world will experience warming, global warming is now referred to as climate change and his remark that one will not find a polar bear near a discarded supermarket free bag is pathetic, childish and, I repeat, petty.
John Hall in his daily offering epitomises the Lib/Dems. He was sad that they were unable to form a coalition government with Labour, whom before the election they were berating just as much as they had the Conservatives.
They have propped up Labour before, denying the electorate its say and the ‘Dem’ part of its name comes from the the famous four who abandoned Old Labour.
It’s better for a party to try to go it alone than to take on board John Hall and Clegg’s shower.
