SIR – Now that the chief executive of Westfield has said they might sell the Broadway site, the leader of our Council believes he possibly meant selling the development after it had been built.
The probability, however, is that Westfield is looking to get shut of an embarrassment to its reputation.
That Bradford Council leader David Green (pictured), and the half a million people whom he represents, do not know which it is shows that Westfield hold the whip hand.
Surely the time has now come for all our local MPs to unite and demand Government sanctions be imposed upon Westfield’s UK activities pending a satisfactory outcome to the debacle which is debilitating the economic regeneration of our city.
