SIR – Once again, Bradford’s planners are undermining public confidence in their competence.
A public meeting took place in Heaton on the highly-contentious Ashwell Farm planning application concerning new developments. The Heaton Woods Trust, a neighbour with a long common boundary, even with land within the site, was not notified of the new plans, a statutory requirement.
The reasons for this lapse have been spurious, but I find the protocol of public participation has also changed since originally presented. Again, too much to expect the planners to attend and explain these changes to the public.
