SIR - Regarding the article (T&A, October 2), I too have been trying to save our reduced service, the 675 route - West Bowling to Cottingley.
This service was reduced to one bus per hour despite there being many elderly people in this area.
Councillor Vanda Greenwood tried in vain to get our bus restored.
There is an alternative number 677 which involves a long walk uphill to carry bags after shopping.
We now have to wait up to one hour if a bus should "miss" or be late - very unsatisfactory for appointments such as doctors, dentists, etc.
As we pensioners received free fares our service was cut in half. Does this seem fair?
I hope someone may have a rethink about these services, as we should be having things easier at our time of life, not worrying about how to get from A to B.
