SIR - The Halifax Bank bosses calling on political parties to reform the inheritance tax (T&A, September 23) will be pleased to know that that nice David Cameron will actually scrap it.
The question is why? Most of those people affected by it at present will have paid no more than thousands of pounds for their initial property purchases.
I suggest we should be more concerned regarding those who are struggling to get a foot on the property ladder, as highlighted recently in the T&A.
The rise in property prices over the past ten years or so borders on the immoral.
