The extreme views of Philip Davies were once again on view on the BBC Parliament Channel this week.

His question to Vince Cable – his Government’s Minister for Business – indicated that he thinks banks and other businesses should be left to pay directors as much as they want. Like several other backbench Tories, he believes it is right that company directors shoud be paid in millions, whether their businesses are successful or not.

Mr Davies indicated no confidence that Mr Cable’s proposals would benefit the economy at all. This was despite the explicit backing of these plans by the Prime Minister.

Would it not be more honest of Philip Davies if he were to join UKIP, where he belongs?
