SIR - Last week I saw a report in which I was utterly horrified to discover that the Queen's Guardsmen really actually do wear real bearskin for headdress.

I just couldn't believe it! What an absolute disgrace. Why on earth are animals being slaughtered so that someone can wear them on their heads?

It's an outrage that not only do our nation's representatives endorse this primitive, barbaric nonsense but that us silly fools are paying for it through our taxes.

Well I demand that my taxes no longer go to fund such odious exhibitions and will contact all necessary lines of enquiry to make my feelings known and to also demand that the MOD seriously participates in the use of alternative faux fur which has been provided by PETA.
