SIR – The T&A (January 18) rightly highlighted the story where hundreds of fake DVDs were being peddled in Bradford by a 35-year-old man and a 14-year-old youth.
It understandably went on to express concern at how vulnerable children were being used in this and other ways.
I am sure we would all agree that the police should be clamping down severely on this sort of crime.
However, what was the reaction of the police in this case? They simply gave the man an adult caution.
Is it any wonder that such offences continue to be seen when these ridiculous slap-on-the-wrist penalties are being administered?
