SIR - I bet the original founding fathers of the Labour Party, founded in Bradford, would be turning in their grave if they could have heard the gush and mush coming out of the present leader's mouth at his farewell speech, above, at this year's party conference.
I'm afraid I don't share the opinion of many Labour supporters over what Blair has done over the last decade or so.
The real Labour ideals, as drawn up in 1912, are a far cry from today's more or less Tory policies. The re-privatisation of the health service, for one, and the I'm all right Jack' society that is now all too prevalent, represent a sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in.
Morals and real Socialist policies are swept under the carpet and the me me me' attitude leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
So thanks Tony Blair for the state you have brought this nation to - you can't go too soon for some of us!
