SIR - Regarding your article on the air ambulance (T&A, September 21), it said that the helipad at Bradford Royal Infirmary has been closed due to new rules and regulations.
I understand there are guidelines but it's disgusting that we, the people, have to suffer again.
Why can't the government do something good and help make the helipad safe to use?
The air ambulance does a fantastic job. You only need to look at their reports to see what good they do and how many lives they have saved with their quick response.
Closing the helipad could place people's lives in jeopardy, the few extra minutes could mean everything. The ambulances only just manage as it is, the service deserves all the help it can get.
