SIR - I am supporting CSV Make a Difference Day, the UK's single largest day of volunteering.
The campaign is all about giving time instead of money to improve the lives of others. Around 115,000 people across the UK are expected to take part this year.
There are a number of fantastic ways to use your passions and skills and get involved. Last year volunteers organised football training for visually-impaired children, Barclays staff taught financial awareness to homeless people, knitters made outfits for premature babies, and schoolchildren created wildlife havens on wasteland.
So if you want to get involved with your company, school, community group, or even go it alone, our call centre is open to help with ideas. To register call freephone 0800 284533 or visit www.csv.org.uk/difference.
CSV Make a Difference Day takes place on Saturday, October 28, with activities happening two weeks either side.
