SIR - While the possibility of Grand Central providing trains from Bradford to London is to be cautiously welcomed, it would prove more significant to the local rail network should plans to reopen Low Moor station be confirmed.
It is most disappointing that little progress has been made and it is of concern that Metro's web site provides no information regarding the current situation, as if plans to reopen Low Moor have been discarded.
Low Moor is an important strategic station as it provides access to the rail network from both south Bradford and the Spen Valley, and it is absurd that alleged timetable implications at Manchester Victoria should delay progress.
It is to be hoped that Bradford Council and Metro make clear their continued support for the reopening of Low Moor through positive and concrete action, and not just empty words.
