SIR - Come the week after bonfire night and we will have calls for fireworks to be banned and the police saying they will prosecute you for letting them off.
But over the last two to three months, where have all the prosecutions been?
Almost every night somebody, somewhere, is letting fireworks off. So if they are letting them off they must be buying them from somewhere so why not prosecute the people that sell them any time other than bonfire night and New Year's Eve?
