SIR - I am writing to appeal to your readers to help the NSPCC stop cruelty to children in our biggest-ever mobilisation campaign.

We want more than one million people to Be the FULL STOP' by becoming part of a mass movement who believe cruelty can be ended and are willing to act to make child cruelty stop.

There are many different ways you can help make a difference to the lives of local children. One easy way is by holding a Stop for Tea event, a simple fundraising idea which can be held in the home with family and friends or at the workplace with colleagues, clients and customers.

Why not make it a children's tea party, tea'-off at the local golf course or ask your boss to deliver tea to people's desk for a fee?

I would love to hear from any reader who is interesting in holding a Stop for Tea event and I can arrange for an information pack to be sent out which includes invitations, posters and tips. Please give me a call on 01422 339515.
