SIR – I know I couldn’t run one marathon, but the founder of Bradford-based charity Christians Against Poverty, John Kirby, set out on his Remember The Poor campaign last week to run 15 marathons in 15 days (T&A, November 19).
After only 11 days, he has raised £1 million, a huge amount, for a charity which has helped 49,000 people in its 15-year history.
I can’t wait to see the total raised when he has completed his challenge.
Truly a remarkable man.
