SIR – “H’mm”, I thought to myself as I read the letters page (T&A, November 25), “That church in the cartoon looks just like St Wilfrid’s, Calverley.”
Sure enough, a couple of pages further on, there’s the report about it becoming a community cinema. I’m impressed; the artist could have made the point by drawing any representation of a church. To use the actual building as the model shows a most commendable striving for accuracy.
I suppose I ought to say that I’m not a church “anorak”. I lived in Calverley for many years, that’s how I knew.
