SIR – In his letter (T&A, November 2) G Bailey said that money could have been found to bring the Odeon back to its former glory (ignoring the fact it was owned by Yorkshire Forward), so no doubt he will have berated Bradford Council for loaning developers £6 million, enabling them to finish building the rather impressive Southgate complex.
Not content with blaming the Council for the delay of the Westfield site and calling City Park “a stupid expanse of squirts and wet patches”, he claims Bradford is now derided the world over and will never again be the great city it once was.
It still is a great city, Mr Bailey, regardless of your diatribe.
