SIR – It never ceases to amaze me while on my night time travels, the sheer number of householders who leave their curtains open all night long.
Why should this be? Are they afraid of missing something? Are they showing the world what a wonderful living room they have? Or could it be the new sofa?
Do these householders not understand that curtains are a wonderful insulator, keeping the cold out and the warmth in?
Come on, folks, be like your curtains, pull yourselves together and save some brass on your heating bills.
You know it makes sense.
