SIR – I have just returned from a visit to the new centre opposite Jury’s Hotel on Thornton Road.
The name of this facility is Culture Fusion, established by various funding opportunities, site availability and political support. This centre is mainly for young people and I am happy that they have this opportunity and wish them every success.
I visited a Saturday afternoon, this was their open day. I understand the official opening is later this month.
This building was buzzing with young people all enjoying themselves and really deserve credit for the ideas, design and everything on view.
I would like to say to all the people who have expressed doubts about what myself and the people involved in the creation of ‘The People’s Centre’, visit Culture Fusion. If this has been achieved, why not create a centre for older people?
I know the economic situation is not good, but in time that will improve. We have to have people who want to put something back into Bradford – why not let it be you?
