SIR - In response to your article about parents gambling with their children's lives (T&A, September 19), I would like to share a recent experience.
Last week, my car broke down near Morrisons at Four Lane Ends. As I waited for the AA, I saw numerous examples of children sitting in the front seats of cars without any seat belts on.
The worst situation, however, was a car with three or four adults in it, where the driver had on his lap a young boy of no more than six or seven years of age who was "helping" to drive the vehicle!
Needless to say, neither was wearing a seat belt.
These parents are not only endangering their children's lives, but also those of the rest of us who drive around the roads of Bradford.
Perhaps the threat of losing their licence rather than a mere fine would make such people wake up to the dangers of such behaviour.
