SIR – It would do David Cameron good to take heed of the advice of the so-called rebels – they listened to the constituents who elected them, they were not chosen by him.

This unelected Government, who are puppets to Clegg & Co, should remember no-one voted for them no matter how much they argue that people did. Nowhere on the voting paper did it say ‘Coalition’. AV was voted out and they are in power by default.

A referendum on Europe is the will of the people and their right to a vote ‘in’ or ‘out’. It is not down to a few hundred MPs who are feathering there own nest.

Europe is sinking and Cameron and Clegg and the MPs who voted against a referendum want to take us with it.

I have voted Conservative all my life, but never again, UKIP will take my vote.
