SIR – Through your letters page can I issue a warm invitation to all your readers to come to a debate on Britain’s future in Europe?
The two protagonists are Philip Davies MP (arguing the case for withdrawal from Brussels) and Professor Dame Helen Wallace (putting the case for the UK’s continued membership of the EU).
The debate takes place on Friday, November 11, at the Baildon Community Link, Cliffe Avenue, Baildon and starts at 7.30pm.
This is an open meeting with all welcome – and there will be scope for questions and comments from the floor.
“The EU – in or out?” is one of today’s controversial issues. The exchange between Helen Wallace and Philip Davies promises not just heat, but light.
Coun John Cole (Liberal Democrat) Baildon ward, Oakroyd Terrace, Baildon
