SIR – In his letter (T&A, October 28), Karl Dallas slates capitalism which is not socialist, whatever that is.

Surely, such an astute man as he realises all of us, including him, are all capitalists at heart. We all, individually or collectively, expect as much as possible for our God-given gifts.

We shun small shopkeepers, not understanding why their prices are so much higher than those of supermarkets.

The Chinese hierarchy is unconcerned about the oppressed masses as long as they can live their lifestyle. That must be socialist capitalism. The seven deadly skills are not monopolised by the affluent few.
