SIR – David Crompton’s idea of relocating a market to the Marks & Spencer store in Darley Street, Bradford, is an excellent one (T&A, September 29). If the space could be used by food sellers reflecting multi-cultural Bradford, this would be an important step to revitalising the city centre. Quality British, Eastern European, Asian and African-Caribbean food for sale, alongside a relocated ‘Ministry of Food’ cooking centre, would give local people and visitors a good reason again to shop there.
