SIR - There is an easy answer to the dangerous dog problem in Bradford.
Firstly I feel all dogs which were previously used for hunting and fighting, ie terriers (all breeds), Alsatians/German Shepherds, Akitas, etc, should always be muzzled when out of the owner's premises.
All dogs should be micro-chipped and every dog should be trained by the owners not to chase cats, etc.
If dogs are ever found guilty of attacking a person or other cat or dog (which should never happen if muzzled) they should be destroyed and their owner heavily fined.
I am an animal lover, but I hate to see dogs used by owners as a kind of weapon against another animal or person.
