SIR - I see the modernisers' have been at it again in Bradford with the proposed destruction of the Odeon. We all know what happened to the last modern buildings put up in Bradford in the Sixties, they are currently being demolished.
Many tourists/visitors to towns and cities come to look at the history of a place which includes its old buildings. What history will tourists find in Bradford? These demolished buildings which were part of Bradford's heritage are being replaced with soulless structures with no architectural or artistic merit. Bradford's history is being wiped off the map.
How sad for future generations and tourists who will have to look very hard to find anything of historical interest in Bradford.

- EDITOR'S COMMENT: On the contrary, I believe most readers will agree that visitors to Bradford are surprised by how much stunning architecture, especially Victorian, exists here.
