SIR - I waited in keen expectation of a response to Michael Booth's letter (T&A, August 28) asking why so much money is lavished on Cartwright Hall and Lister Park yet so little appears to go to Bradford's Industrial Museum.
Sadly, a response appears not to be forthcoming, which is a great pity because I feel those who manage our museums should be accountable for their decisions.
A brief visit to the Industrial Museum reveals a number of long-standing problems - the roof leaks, the magnificent Linton engine has lain idle for months, and the printing department still awaits a modest investment that would immediately transform it into the premier printing museum in the North of England.
We should be proud of Bradford's contribution to the industrial age. It would be an enormous tragedy if the wonderful collection housed by the museum is allowed to perish.
