SIR – The artist’s impression of the new ward blocks at Bradford Royal Infirmary which will have children’s services looks very impressive.
I lived in a Housing Association flat in Welbury Drive, Manningham, with a view of the former Bradford Children’s Hospital which closed its doors some time ago now.
My father died of lung cancer more than 30 years ago, and my sister, the grandmother of three very young children, who has always had a healthy lifestyle, is terminally-ill with this frightening disease.
It is a must that cancer sufferers also be given top-class facilities at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
