SIR – Yet again Bradford is put in the shade by the opening of Wakefield’s Trinity Walk Shopping Centre, at a cost of £210 million – while we still have a bomb site.
Bradford used to be a city to be proud of. The wool barons of last century would turn in their graves. The time for action is well past. Where are the promised shops?
More to the point, where is the money? Who holds the purse strings? How many more years before we have a shopping centre?
I was born and bred in Bradford. Answers, please.
Mrs B Burns, Flower Garth, Bradford
