SIR – I would just like to thank everyone in Eccleshill ward who supported me during the current elections.
I am sorry I haven’t been elected to represent you and have a chance to get the fair share of money in the area committee to help work in Eccleshill Ward.
I am sorry that you have now three councillors whose parties both voted for the cuts in the Council budget, of which some are starting to hit with day centre closures.
I don’t blame the newly-elected Labour Councillor Ruth Billheimer for this, but her party and the Lib Dems.
I also feel sorry for Bradford as Labour has shown in national Government that their spend, spend, spend attitude has nearly bankrupt the country and fear the same for Bradford as they did in the past when last in control of the Council.
Colin McPhee, Moorcroft Avenue, Bradford
