SIR – The British Government has been far too complicit in its denial that foreign policy is linked to terrorist attacks.

Yet a day after Osama bin Laden dies, we have the Met Police commissioner coming out and saying expect a terrorist attack.

Where was such a warning the day before his death? Not being oblivious to the fact that once we supplied him with weapons to fight the communists, we need to take responsibility for the consequences of our actions abroad.
