SIR – I have surely just witnessed yet another example of “elf and safety” gone mad.
A litter-picker with appropriate tool, wearing boots, gloves, helmet, high-visibility tabard and a full face protector, was removing rubbish from a daffodil-filled grassed area within a fenced-off perimeter. How dangerous is that? Seems the HSE business is well and truly blooming!
