SIR – So now it would seem that David Cameron is in hot water for adding a bit of humour to an otherwise ‘stuffed shirt’ Commons.
Mr Cameron told a lady of the opposition to “calm down, dear”, thus emulating a well-known TV commercial, and making a brave attempt at humour, My advice would be – stick to the day job, Dave, lad. No doubt the opposition will be up in arms about sexism.
The last lot in Government started all the nonsense with its political correctness. Now the country dare not speak for fear of being accused of racism, sexism, ageism, or some other ‘ism’.
So its time that this childish political correctness, along with the human rights act and many more hindrances which are keeping this country from going forward, were stamped out.
