SIR – For once, the Council is to be congratulated for coming up with something useful.
I refer to the putting in place children’s play facilities on recreational land adjacent to the Blackshaw Beck on Buttershaw estate.
At the weekend I took the little one over to use the equipment for an hour or so, and the local kids seemed to be enjoying themselves and making the most of a tyre slide, climbing frames, stainless steel slides, etc.
I tried out the equipment to give the little one confidence (never mind the arthritis). Anyway, why should the kids have all the fun?
I feel sure Buttershaw residents will be appreciative of these facilities, and they may give mums and dads a little bit of peace and quiet.
