SIR – Although the Labour Party has no obvious alternative ideas to deal with the serious Budget deficit its incompetence created, the result of the carefully-orchestrated anti-cuts demonstration in London is clear for all to see.
Instead of just peaceful protest, it descended into violence – a clear attempt to overthrow the democratically-elected Government of this country which de facto represents the will of the majority by the worst kind of intimidation.
If this goes on, how long before the Labour Party and its union paymasters will be asked to pay the financial costs of what they have incited?
Or how long before David Cameron exercises the ‘nuclear’ option and ends union recognition across the whole public sector, which many believe should have been done some time ago.
Labour’s leader Ed Miliband behaves like some immature student union chairman.
It’s time for everybody to get real and let the Government get on with its job, then deliver a verdict on it at the next General Election.
