SIR – We went to see Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at our fabulous Alhambra theatre. What a show!
The theatre was packed with hundreds of schoolkids which made all the difference as this was a matinee and I am sure the audience brought out the best in the cast.
Let’s face it the, the cast have been hoofing this show since December 18 but one would have thought this was their first night as they were as fresh as the first fall of snow, with gorgeous costumes and exceptional scenery, with the amazing 3D effects in the magic looking glass.
Billy (Mr Alhambra) Pearce was terrific – how he keeps the patter going, and going, and going. One can only marvel at his stagecraft.
And then there was Sian Reeves as the Wicked Queen, with a figure to die for and legs to match.
She kept saying, “I am the most beautiful in all the land”, and yet the audience just booed her, drowning out my wolf whistle!
I could go on raving about this fabulous show and Snow White (Kelly Chinery) who has a magnificent voice, the Prince and the seven dwarfs, but if you want some superb entertainment and have a lot of laughs, get along to the show before it closes on February 6.
