SIR – My wife and I would like to thank the persons who broke into our home on Thursday, December 23. This took place between 10am and 11.20am, while we were at Tesco, using two trips on the bus.
We hope the items you stole give you some pleasure. We were left for more than 14 hours in the cold until the smashed window was boarded up.
These people have left my wife and I in a state of shock. We will not be going out together for a long time, one of us will remain at home.
We don’t have much. We are both over 60. I am not in good health, I suffer from angina and this has not helped. I also have osteoarthritis and I’m diabetic.
Our only wish for this time of the year is simple – we hope the sweets made you sick.
