SIR – As the recession bites, many people are trying to find ways to cut their costs. Sadly, charity giving is often the first thing to suffer.

I work for a charity called Vitalise, which provides desperately-needed respite breaks for disabled people. Without us, many disabled people and the loved ones who care for them would simply not have the opportunity to take a proper break from the unrelenting daily routine.

But like many other charities, we are really starting to feel the squeeze as charity giving slows down.

That’s why we’ve opened a webshop. Charity webshops are a fantastic idea. They enable you to do all your online shopping and support the charity of your choice at the same time.

All you have to do is go to your charity’s webshop and click through to your favourite store.

For every purchase you make, a small donation goes to charity. There are even special discounts for charity web-shoppers, meaning you can actually save money! It’s that simple – and everybody wins!

Please support our essential work helping the UK’s disabled people and carers. Visit our webshop, buy.at/vitalise, and start making a difference today.
