SIR – With regard to the front page story “Heartfelt thanks! T&A readers do it again by raising £105,000 for new monitor” (T&A, August 2); when I started work at Robin Wools in 1978, I was told by an ex-soldier I was to work with that “if anything needs raising in this town, it will be raised”.
We have all seen this many times over across the years in the pages of the T&A.
