SIR – I visited Bradford last week to attend the performance of the play “As you like it” at the Cathedral, and I must write in appreciation of the super evening’s entertainment.
Originally, it had been planned that it would take place in the grounds, but as the day grew cooler, it was decided to move it indoors.
The action took place in the chancel - the actors entering and leaving through the choir stalls.
I would like to congratulate all who took part, and delivered their long speeches effortlessly and clearly.
The timing was updated to the 60s, which suited it perfectly – much original music, the singers followed the guitarist, wandering through “The Forest of Arden”. It was well worth travelling from Rochdale – yes, Lancashire came to Yorkshire, and I enjoyed every minute.
Good fortune to the whole company of ACT in all its future productions.
