SIR – Re Omega Protein’s foul-smelling, animal-waste-carrying lorries (T&A, July 20).
The stench fills our homes and our gardens, our shops and – most worryingly – our lungs.
They offend us; they offend our schoolchildren as they eat their fish and chips on the high streets during school lunch break; they offend our senior citizens as they stand and chat on street corners; our younger children in playgrounds adjacent to the main roads are offended.
Our communities deserve better protection from our Council which should most certainly not ease restrictions, but should consider strengthening them.
