SIR – The full face mask is now approved, after Immigration Minister Damian Green said a ban would be “rather un-British”.
Assuming this applies equally to males, females, adults and children, can they be worn in public places such as shops, markets, superstores etc?
Can they be worn in banks, building societies and cash exchanges? Can they be worn in bus stations, train stations, airports, ferry and shipping terminals? Or, are there limits to this ‘freedom’ not yet disclosed?
Does this allow the same privilege to motorcyclists in full head helmet? Does it apply to construction workers wearing ‘hard hats’, safety goggles and dust masks?
I think someone has disturbed a proverbial hornet’s nest.
