SIR – This Saturday, the British Heart Foundation is holding its annual Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – an event that raises vital funds to help support men, women and children whose hearts need a helping hand.
Lots of people have signed up and the day promises a fantastic atmosphere, but we still need more people to help us raise around £100,000 to fund the BHF’s life-saving work in the region.
This event has always enjoyed great support for the people of Yorkshire, and we hope people from across the region will lace up their boots and join us for a spectacular 25-mile hike across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Heart disease touches us all, and events such as this raise vital funds to help the BHF continue its vital work, such as funding life-saving equipment, BHF heart nurses and providing grants for pioneering research and treatment at the region’s hospitals and universities.
There’s still time to sign up, and I hope your readers will join us. To register, and for more information, call 0800 085 2280 or visit bhf.org.uk/Yorkshire.
