SIR – On Saturday, July 3, the Bingley branch of the Royal British Legion had a stall in Bingley open-air market in order to raise money for the organisation and promote the good work undertaken by the Legion.
The result was a profit on goods sold of £53.61, together with donations of £51.77 amounting in total to £105.38.
On behalf of the branch, I would like to thank all those who contributed towards an enjoyable day, and especially to those who showed an interest in becoming members and helpers. Additional help, particularly at Poppy time, is always welcome.
James Dowzall, Hon Treasurer, The Royal British Legion Bingley (1944) Branch, Heath Street, Bingley
