SIR – I would like to pay tribute to Terry Rooney, former MP, for his sterling efforts in health promotion by sponsoring the Lifestyle Choices Seminars at the House of Commons for sixth formers over the last 12 years.
Hundreds of young people have benefited from the advice given on alcohol and other drugs.
His involvement in this important programme, conducted without local constituency publicity will be sorely missed.
