SIR – How sad I was to read of yet more cats inundating Yorkshire’s cat rescue homes.
If only people thought before buying a bundle of fluff that turns into an adult cat that depends entirely on you for food, love and safety.
While shopping in Wilkinsons in Bradford, an older lady said she had a cat of her own and was feeding two more cats, one of whom was pregnant and was due any day now.
I hope this lady manages to get someone to rescue these cats so they don’t suffer the same fate as their poor mother.
I have fed many cats over the years and currently have three – including two strays. Please take food to Wilkinsons’ Bradford store for the cat rescue and Morrisons for Haworth Cat Rescue and other animal charities.
Please look after any cats that are dumped by callous owners, everyone can make a difference if they really want to.
