SIR – Can I, through your paper, urge the workers doing the work in Centenary Square to ensure they will not be busy during the memorial for the city fire on May 11.
Also, hopefully there will be the space to hold the service and no disruption.
I would also like to urge that the big-screen TV be turned off this year and for maybe some sort of barrier put round the service area so that no rude people can come past being disrespectful while we’re paying our respects to our loved ones.
To whoever is organising the service, can I also ask that it is relevant to the occasion this year and not off subject like last year.
