SIR On July 15 myself and three teachers from Girlington Primary School will attempt to walk 100 kilometres non-stop in 30 hours.
We are trying to improve our general fitness by increasing the time spent in the gym and attempting to do a long walk at least once a month. To this end we recently completed all the 26.2 miles of the Halifax Long March.
The Trail Walk starts in the South Downs and ends in Brighton and all the proceeds will go to Oxfam (especially relevant due to the present crisis in East Africa) and the Gurkhas Welfare Fund.
As a team we have pledged to raise at least £1,000 and have organised several events both in and out of school.
If any of your readers feel able to contribute in any way they may do so by contacting myself at the address below or by e-mail: micheletsanderson@blueyonder.co.uk.
