SIR I recently visited Bolling Hall with my three young children and although we enjoyed it the interior was very nice and the staff very helpful I was extremely disappointed with the outside of the building and the grounds.
There were two doors boarded up along with a large window, caused by fire damage I was given to understand, and graffiti was all over the place. It looked like part of a bomb site from the London blitz.
But the most disturbing and frightening thing was the number of unruly youths who congregated round and on the building. All the time we were there the youths were smoking, swearing, making a lot of noise and were very intimidating.
In fact a few elderly couples who arrived at the same time left after seeing these youths.
I cannot believe that Bradford Council cannot do something to remedy this disgraceful situation.
Bolling Hall is one of the jewels in Bradford's Crown, but it is losing its sparkle and looking rather jaded. Don't let it go down any further.
