SIR B Depledge (T&A, May 9) asks Christian leaders to stay out of the political arena' and stick to spiritual advice'. To me this is nonsense (ie not rational, ie plain daft).
Christians (and many other people of faith) believe in God who actually made this world including ourselves people who have bodies, minds and relationships as well as souls.
We are people involved in all the muck, money marvels and creativity of this earth. Politics is about how we share (with other creatures) this world. Christianity is about our relationship with the God who made this earth.
How could there possibly be any arena' which does not concern God, or any useful kind of spiritual advice' which does not take our whole lives, including politics, into account?
